NORTH COAST SHOOTER'S SUPPLY HISTORY
NORTH COAST SHOOTER'S SUPPLY - ADVENTURES OF LARRY THE LEATHERNECK & JERRY THE JARHEAD
Jeff Kelland, Owner of North Coast Shooter's Supply, is a US Marine veteran and fought in Desert Storm. Fellow veterans and military history is of great interest and importance to him. Incorporating a little history with Larry the Leatherneck and Jerry the Jarhead is a fun way to never forget, and to remind others, of our country's history.
NORTH COAST SHOOTER'S SUPPLY - HISTORY: WW2 WAR TROPHIES
Larry the Leatherneck & Jerry the Jarhead are featured in this WW2 display focusing on captured Japanese war trophies
Collecting war souvenirs is a practice as old as combat itself. Roman armor, Spartan shields and other spoils of war often were displayed as war trophies, and relics from modern-day battles have found homes in museums, quarterdecks and living rooms. Service members in World War II and Vietnam faced fewer rules than those in place today. Military regulations and international laws of war prevent and control what service members are allowed to bring home. It was in 1969 that the rules began to tighten as Vietnam began winding down.
